Brett Hart helps couples and individuals recover from the pain of infidelity. With over 30 years of experience as a pastor and counselor, he offers empathy and understanding in his practice.
As a supporting therapist and former staff member with Affair Recovery Inc., Brett has helped countless couples facing the trauma of infidelity through Emergency Marriage Seminar weekends and online support groups. He offers a unique blend of professional expertise and personal insight.
He has a master’s degree in professional counseling from Oral Roberts University. He is trained in the Gottman Couples Therapy Method, including Gottman training in treating trauma and affairs. Brett is an active member of the Oral Roberts University Graduate School of Counseling advisory board. As well, Brett has training in trauma-informed equine-assisted psychotherapy with Natural Lifesmanship.
Brett also holds certification in spiritual direction from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He has been offering Spiritual Direction for over a decade.
Brett is certified in Technology of Participation (ToP) meeting facilitation, a structured, participatory approach that enables groups and couples to navigate complex conversations effectively. This expertise allows Brett to foster deep engagement, alignment around shared goals, and actionable outcomes. In both couples intensives and group counseling sessions, this training enhances Brett’s ability to create safe, collaborative spaces where meaningful connection and transformation can occur.
Brett’s approach is inclusive and respectful of all beliefs. He uses his background in pastoral counseling and spiritual direction to create a welcoming space for clients of any faith or none. He values each person’s unique journey and helps them grow and heal without imposing his beliefs.
